The Golden Age That You Never Knew: Return of The Sp-y!

Welcome to the golden age of spying.
Maybe you have heard of WikiLeaks? The UK's latest great spy network? Julian Assange?
How about your latest superstar, and the whistle blower on this great era before us, Edward Snowden?
Yes, we are here and witness to espionage that the world has NEVER seen before.
Now how about some irony and chutzpah to boot:
If you want cause of the geulah, and should you be in denial to the magnitude of what we are beholding, consider this:  we are going through an unprecedented phase of espionage, while a yid who was a spy, sits and terminates his life over such matters.
I don't care what one may say of Jonathan Pollard, the grandiose secrets he knew/knows, etc. Even if he made Snowden look like an amateur [which I highly doubt!] - eizeh chutzpah achi, Nu!
Seriously, all this spy network goes on with fiber optics and such, and they want to kill him and for what he stood for - when the world literally stands on his head! For that alone, Rav Eliyahu was correct about Pollard, and the geulah WILL COME  on his merit, even if in the negative - at least now it has major context!

News.com:

The Guardian cited British intelligence memos leaked by former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden to claim that UK spies were tapping into the world's network of fibre optic cables to deliver the "biggest internet access" of any member of the Five Eyes - the name given to the espionage alliance composed of the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. That access could in theory expose a huge chunk of the world's everyday communications - including the content of people's emails, calls, and more - to scrutiny from British spies and their American allies.

How much data the Brits are copying off the fibre optic network isn't clear, but it's likely to be enormous. The Guardian said the information flowing across more than 200 cables was being monitored by more than 500 analysts from the NSA and its UK counterpart, GCHQ. "This is a massive amount of data!" the Guardian quoted a leaked slide as boasting. The newspaper, whose revelations about America and Britain's globe-spanning surveillance programs have reignited an international debate over the ethics of espionage, said GCHQ was using probes to capture and copy data as it crisscrossed the Atlantic between Western Europe and North America.

It said that, by last year, GCHQ was in some way handling 600 million telecommunications every day - although it did not go into any further detail and it was not clear whether that meant that GCHQ could systematically record or even track all the electronic movement at once.

GCHQ declined to comment on Friday, although in an emailed statement it repeated past assurances about the legality of its actions. "Our work is carried out in accordance with a strict legal and policy framework which ensures that our activities are authorised, necessary, and proportionate," the statement said. Fibre optic cables - thin strands of glass bundled together and strung out underground or across the oceans - play a critical role in keeping the world connected.

A 2010 estimate suggested that such cables are responsible for 95 per cent of the world's international voice and data traffic, and the Guardian said Britain's geographic position on Europe's western fringe gave it natural access to many of the trans-Atlantic cables as they emerged from the sea.

The Guardian said GCHQ's probes did more than just monitor the data live; British eavesdroppers can store content for three days and metadata - information about who was talking to whom, for how long, from where, and through what medium - for 30 days. The paper quoted Mr Snowden, the leaker, as saying that the surveillance was "not just a US problem. The UK has a huge dog in this fight ... They (GCHQ) are worse than the US"

Mr Snowden, whose whereabouts are unknown, faces the prospect of prosecution in the United States over his disclosures, and some there have called on him to be tried for treason. Mr Snowden has expressed interest in seeking asylum in Iceland, where a local businessman said he was prepared to fly the leaker should he request it.

and as for the U.S. - just read about Edward Snowden and/or NSA operations:

Fugitive intelligence leaker Edward Snowden said the US National Security Agency operates broad secret spying partnerships with other western governments now complaining about its programmes, in an interview published on Sunday. Snowden said in comments made before his exposure of US espionage practices came to light last month and printed in German news weekly Der Spiegel that NSA spies are "in bed together with the Germans and most other western states".

In remarks published in German, Snowden said an NSA department known as the foreign affairs directorate coordinated work with foreign secret services. The partnerships are organised so that authorities in other countries can "insulate their political leaders from the backlash" if it becomes public "how grievously they're violating global privacy," he said. The interview was conducted by US cryptography expert Jacob Appelbaum and documentary filmmaker Laura Poitras using "encrypted emails shortly before Snowden became known globally for his whistleblowing", Spiegel said.

On cooperation with Germany's BND foreign intelligence agency, Snowden said the NSA provides "analysis tools" for data passing through Germany from regions such as the Middle East. The US government has revoked the passport of Snowden, a former NSA contractor who is seeking to evade US justice for leaking details about a vast US electronic surveillance programme to collect phone and internet data.

He has been stranded at a Moscow airport for two weeks but three Latin American countries have now offered him asylum. His claims about widespread US spying on Western partners have sparked uproar among European allies in particular and threatened to derail talks on the world's largest free-trade zone due to start on Monday. German Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke with US President Barack Obama on Wednesday and agreed to a "high-level meeting" between US and German security officials in the coming days to address intelligence matters.

The Zohar Finale!

Parashas Matos – Masei -
The Real Derech Eretz

Rabbi David Katz

The Zohar on our Parsha can in many ways be seen as a fitting close to the Book of Bamidbar, and to a greater extent the entire Torah, as we conclude the Torah’s message, and trek onwards to our fundamental review and reiteration of the Torah in what is often called “Mishna Torah” [Devarim] – The Torah in review. One can argue that the underlying premise of the Torah is to introduce through two unique pathways two unique Nations that must learn to find each other, co-exist, and forge an inseparable bond, while maintaining a healthy buffer zone; all under the pretext of a search and rescue mission as part of the myriad of challenges presented through Torah reality. The objective of such activity can be primarily recognized as the flourishing of Torah through the hand of Israel, while putting into practice the Torah’s innate wisdom with sights set to redeem the elusive Ger [Tzedek].
The most important ingredient of this diet would fall under the guidelines of the first and most important commandment in the Torah [for both peoples]: “to be fruitful and multiply”; accordingly, it would take the entirety of Torah wisdom to achievement a refinement that would befit both camps and allow separate sovereignty, while not polluting the taboo Mendoza Line. For the repair of society and continuing to walk with Hashem, marriage and procreation would become the Holy of Holies, and the prevailing theme of what would define a successful regime, compared to that of the exiles and failures of yesteryear.

The Parshiot [and the Zohar] hone in on a lesser known law amongst the myriad of statutes that we have covered between the covers of the Torah [drawing extra emphasis on the very nature of the Torah having a cover, i.e. The Red Heifer being seen as the Torah’s fertilization as such], this being the nature of captive women coming into Israel for possible marriage, and depending on the circumstances, the Talmud makes mention that under extreme [and even non-ideal] circumstances, a Priest may be involved, as Pinchas the Priest is on scene when the law is introduced upon Israel.  [Bamidbar 31:17] From this relatively unknown law, the secrets of Kabbalah ooze out as edible fruits from the Tree of Life; the most inner dimension of the Pillars of Life stand tall in the form of Man and Woman, Ger and Jew, “Red and White” [in the secrets of colors], Kindness and Judgment [the two arms of existence], and the Godly Soul vs. the Animal Soul [that will come to define the Torah existence of both Nations as evidence of the burden of the Commandments].

To begin the exegesis of the topics mentioned, the most basic of all beginnings is to accurately define Man and Woman according to the Torah [and Zohar in particular], as by way of cliché, the World consists of two types of people in male and female.  The male in Kabbalistic terms is seen to enjoy a soul source of Kindness [inclined to] whereas his counterpart, i.e. Woman, is rooted in Judgment [most keenly aware of the yolk placed upon Man]. His task is to develop and impart his Wisdom through Kindness, in a palatable form, so that the Woman may be able to taste from the fruits of Kindness, sweeten her view of the Universe, and thus bring both parties under the canopy of a Merciful World, one that would recognize true reality, as God’s humble domain.

The basic premise is that neither enjoys liberty of a full panoramic view of God’s Creation alone [to which the Torah says “to be alone is not good”], and the task is to come together for the repair of schism, and enjoy the Will of God from a state of heightened perception and recognition of God through a clear Torah lens. Anything that would stand against this paradigm would represent an antithesis to God’s created purpose for mankind, thus delaying God’s destination point of a healthy and perfected society. This is the blueprint for all pairs in the Kabbalistic Universe, and thereby the core to the repair of schism between the Jew and the Ger.

Irrespective of one’s national identity, the layout for Women is to exist within a state of judgment in spirit; this is realized in her desire for Understanding, and keen ability to do so. Where her story takes unique shape and form, is in the Man that she chooses, and recognizes, as the means for her potential to establish herself as having ability and confidence to sustain a full measure of Light. The attribute of Judgment is a natural vessel in a spiritual universe, and only the chemistry of a compatible Kindness will culminate into a Merciful new Creation that rectifies both parties.  Being as such for the Woman [and in particular since the law only is interested in her, and the male counterpart is in exclusion, she is seen in universal terms], a greater emphasis is put onto the Man and his flavor of Kindness in accordance with the Woman that he is to be partnered with.

The two types of Man [as the basic fractal of Creation is often seen in a basic duality lens, comparing and contrasting two types, whatever the subject] can be generalized as the Ger and the Jew, while engaging two types of women, the Jewess and the Giuress [female Ger]. In oversimplified terms, a healthy relationship Kabbalistically is between the Jewish Man and Woman and the male and female Gerim.  Not only does this serve to preserve and govern both Nations uniquely, but  it in and of itself it is a type of healthy male and female existence; the Jewish Nation taking on the female personification, while the Ger represents the masculine role, within Torah government.

The male Ger and his Kindness, is a particular perspective [deriving from Abrahamic Kindness] that naturally grafts onto a female Ger, in a fertilization that bears fruits of Mercy. The Jewish male on the other hand [and his perspective of Abrahamic Kindness] has his own separate effect on a Jewish woman that will sweeten her existence. [Both view of Abraham by the males are thus necessary to gain full perspective of what could be seen as a supernal Abraham, i.e. the true nature to God’s attribute (in sefirot) of Kindness; it takes two to know One] The inverse from the Female Jewish side of the equation can be seen as catastrophic as we will see, and the inverse from the female Ger side is actually the nature of the Torah law of the Parsha, and even the source of what will go down in history as the seed of Moshiach!

From the Jewish female side, and in a condition of engagement with a male Ger, the Torah warns against such a union. Although there are always exceptions to rules in nature that seem to defy logic [even Torah logic, i.e. Iyov], the Kindness of a male Ger lacks its desired intention when coupled with Jewish Judgment. The result is actually a heightened sense of Judgment that is devoid of Kindness, and actually becomes acute stern judgment. This may not even be seen as something to be avoided amongst both parties, and can then appear as an elevation of spirit and enjoyed as a pleasant surprise. However, this is indeed a pitfall, and goes against Hashem’s constructive plan for Creation; this is therefore destructive from the Torah point of view, when seen in its true macro form, and is fuel for the animalistic aspects of soul, in face of the divine qualities within.

In the other hemisphere, a Ger woman is best suited for the Kindness of the Ger male, as they share the same spiritual matrix under the domain of a common Abraham/Kindness, in light of the proper Ger Toshav. Yet as we know rules break in nature, there is a special circumstance where there is precedent of the female Ger – Jewish male union.  This can be seen in two simple yet radical ways that have seen their share of Light in Torah in very subtle and non-discreet settings. The most famous examples are in association with Pinchas the Priest and Ruth with Boaz.

Although Pinchas’ specific history with his wife of whom he inherited is sketchy at best, what we do know is that he married a daughter of Joshua and Rachav; Joshua obviously Jewish while Rachav certainly a Ger Tzedek female; non concubine. The product was otherworldly, as Rachav produced the Nation’s most distinguished Priests and Prophets, among them Jeremiah.  From this we see [that to whatever extent] Joshua married a Ger female and Pinchas [a Priest] was able to marry the product of such a union. The irony of the story is that Pinchas only became a Priest because of his zealotry in these matters! Thus the lesson learned from Pinchas’ spear, is that only when the conditions are spot on within the boundary of the utmost holiness can such a union commence; failure in these matters are consequently catastrophic as we saw with Zimri and Cozbi through the Tribe of Shimon.

The Zohar comes to illustrate exactly this point through the attribute of Kindness; for this shall build the World. Rashbi [Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai] states that if there is a scenario of a Ger woman and Jewish male, and the male representation is the ONLY means she has to marry and bear fruit [as evidenced with Joshua and Rachav] then he is obligated to not forsake her, and to “build the world with Kindness” through her. This is an extremely rare occasion, not practiced today, and is extremely difficult to carry out in accordance with God’s will in Torah.  With that stated as such, this happens to be the very pipeline that Messianic seed is sewn, in efforts to confuse the evil of this world. The only problem is that it has equally baffled the multitudes of Torah scholars over time as well.

The one major salvation that we have openly witnessed with regards to this archaic statute of permitted intermingling occurred with Ruth and Boaz. As we know with Ruth, she was a Moabite, then, went onwards to become a Noahide / Ger as we meet her in her marriage to Machlon before he dies childless. Ruth then ventures onwards with Naomi and proclaims, “Your God is my God – Your people are my people.” What seemed as a potentially benign statement would be the shot heard around the world, for this was the moment of truth for the eventual opening of Moshiach to find entrance into this world.

Boaz soon took Ruth in Levirate marriage in a righteous effort to reclaim the life of Ruth’s former husband Machlon through her eventual son through Boaz, in Oved, father of Jesse, father of David. In a generic view of the Torah Universe, Boaz had no business to be with Ruth, through the protocol of the Jew and the Ger. Yet one could argue that this was a special exception through Torah Law in Bamidbar, and Boaz was justified as such; however what then is the status of the seed, i.e. is [the seed of Messiah son of] David kosher?! – This is the age old question in fact!

Torah informs us on this point, that there is not to worry, for Ruth in Boaz’s eyes was “an eshet chayil” – a Jewish woman, for she proclaimed to Naomi – “your people….Your God…” The amazing function of this dynamic is that this is achieved BECAUSE of the Torah law in Bamidbar! Since the union was technically allowed, [through her Judgment and his Kindness] Ruth was free to work with her seeds of Judgment, and she discovered [through Naomi and Machlon before her] what Jewish Judgment in women is; she thus desired the same for herself, and becomes a vessel for Jewish Kindness, as she desired to become a conduit of God’s Mercy from a Jewish point of view.

Boaz soon discovered, that her actions and desires [to couple for the sake of a commandment; a Jewish expression as opposed to that of an open action of traditional Ger women] were inherently Jewish, and he appropriately realized that she was indeed Jewish, by her deepest desire finding its way into reality. Thus through the opening in Law and with completely righteous intentions and actions, Boaz and Ruth pioneered a unique path from the female Ger domain, along the lines of Jewish Kindness, and into Messianic royalty. Had any of the equation been different, this would be impossible to achieve; the entire mission would need to be directed by the finger of God.

We see that in God’s universe, extreme caution must be adhered to, especially in matters of procreation, and in simplified terms, making flesh pink from joining forces of Red and White in proper male and female relations. As with anything in life, moral social norms are in place for the betterment of Mankind, keeping integrity amongst peoples, and allowing for an orderly dynamic in society. The Torah however is not a draconian text, and sees into the hearts of its adherer’s; sometimes God’s Kindness must prevail when the conditions are just right. Although most of us will never find ourselves on such risky ground, and will follow suit with our ancestors before us, such sacred knowledge will bestow profound wisdom into the Torah, providing the answers we need in moments of faith, where only God’s truth will suffice.

The Ger and the Jew [along with all other paired couples] are commanded and destined to Love on another; our existence is predicated on this point. We shall enjoyed side – by – side success and redemption, walking into the Messianic age with hands held high. Yet the Torah closes with both a Blessing and a Curse, much like the ultimate closing we encounter in Devarim. The Ger and the Jew will be in intimate proximity of one another; a word to the wise should suffice. For every Shimon, there is a Pinchas with his spear held in hand; yet for every step of the Messiah, we may recall Ruth, Boaz, and the Tribe of Judah to some extent.  The Torah commands Love the Ger, and it is our job, as Mankind, to know what that means, for that was why we were created – to carry out His Torah with perfected responsibility in hand. This may be where the Torah ends, yet this is actually where the path of Life begins; for every Adam and Eve, underneath lays the blueprint for the Ger and the Jew. Thank God they are in realistic terms, the ultimate fruits of the Tree of Life, like a delicate fine wine, best served when eaten out of the palm of mutual hands, as will be done in the era of Adam’s Universal Shabbat, and may it be soon in our days. Amen.

Back to the Pyramids

The Prophets Isaiah and Ezekiel speak very vividly about Egypt's demise in the End of Days.
And all of a sudden - Egypt is falling?! [again]

BBC:

Clashes broke out at rival protests across the country overnight, with at least 16 pro-Morsi protesters killed at a demonstration at Cairo University.

The army has said it will shed its blood to defend Egypt against "any terrorist, radical or fool".

Mr Morsi insists he is the legitimate leader and will not give in to "violence and thuggery" by resigning.

In a defiant televised speech on Tuesday evening, he too said he would give his life to defend constitutional legitimacy, and blamed the unrest on corruption and remnants of the ousted regime of Hosni Mubarak.

Calling for protesters to respect the rule of law, he urged the establishment of a committee of reconciliation as well as a charter of ethics for the media, and said he was prepared to meet all groups and individuals as part of a national dialogue process.

'Terrorists and fools' The army has given a deadline of around 16:30 local time (14:30 GMT) on Wednesday for the crisis to be dealt with.

In a statement posted on its Facebook page after Mr Morsi's speech was broadcast - under the title, "Final Hours" - it said: "We swear to God that we will sacrifice even our blood for Egypt and its people, to defend them against any terrorist, radical or fool."

Media reports say the army's plan includes the outline for new presidential elections, the suspension of the new constitution and the dissolution of parliament.

However one military source told Reuters those reports were not true, and that the deadline would mark the beginning of talks about what should be done next.

On Tuesday, Mr Morsi met the head of the armed forces, Gen Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, for a second consecutive day. No details of the talks, which also included Prime Minister Hisham Qandil, were released.

Military sources earlier told the BBC the president's position was becoming "weaker" with every passing minute and suggested that, under the draft plan, he could be replaced by a council of cross-party civilians and technocrats ahead of new elections.

The president was put under further pressure by the resignation of six ministers from his government on Monday, including Foreign Minister Kamel Amr.

Mr Morsi became Egypt's first Islamist president on 30 June 2012, after winning an election considered free and fair following the 2011 revolution that toppled Mubarak.

But anger has been growing against him and the Muslim Brotherhood - the party from which he comes. Protesters are angry at the lack of development in post-revolution Egypt - they accuse the Brotherhood of trying to protect its own interests and of pushing an Islamist agenda.

"This is a president threatening his own people. We don't consider him the president of Egypt," said Mohammed Abdelaziz, a leader of the Tamarod (Rebel) campaign, a rapidly growing anti-Morsi opposition movement.

However, Mr Morsi and the Brotherhood still have significant public support, and both sides have drawn huge numbers to rallies in recent days.

The Tamarod movement says more than 22 million people have signed a petition complaining that:

Security has not been restored since the 2011 revolution that toppled Hosni Mubarak The poor "have no place" in society The government has had to "beg" the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a $4.8bn loan to help shore up the public finances There has been "no justice" for people killed by security forces during the uprising and at anti-government protests since then "No dignity is left" for Egyptians or their country The economy has "collapsed", with growth poor and inflation high Egypt is "following in the footsteps" of the US Profile: Tamarod protest movement Thousands gathered in Tahrir Square in central Cairo on Tuesday afternoon to demand Mr Morsi step down. There were outbreaks of violence in several parts of the capital, with casualties reported at hospitals in the north, south and centre of Cairo.

In the largest unrest, at least 16 people were killed and about 200 wounded at Cairo University in Giza. Eyewitness Mostafa Abdelnasser told AFP that Morsi supporters had come under attack from unidentified men carrying firearms.

Clashes were also reported in Alexandria, Egypt's second city, on Tuesday.

Crowds began gathering in Tahrir Square again on Wednesday morning, with numbers expected to rise throughout the day.

On Monday, eight people died as activists stormed and ransacked the Muslim Brotherhood's Cairo headquarters.

In the wake of the latest unrest, the UK Foreign Office has changed its travel advice for Egypt recommending against all but essential travel to the country except for resorts on the Red Sea in South Sinai and in the Red Sea governorate.

The instability has also hit global oil prices, sending US light crude above $100 a barrel for the first time since September last year, amid concerns supply routes through the Suez Canal could be affected.

Two men Each Hold [the Golan]; One Says It's Mine...

Bluff or Truth - Are we in for the heat that melt the snow[den]? So many pieces ready to make their move; we've been saying this since 2008; is this the new normal? Perhaps the World has always been this volatile, and the Messianic Age is to finally see each screen and its drama-crisis! Nothing is new nor has anything changed, for we are finally waking up to simply what is.

Welcome to normal.
Some may call it reality.
Others may simply Praise God for keeping us alive; not just today, but since the beginning of time.
There is no WWIII; we are simply in the age that realized that WWIII is highly marketable and profitable; ironically, that in and of itself is The End of Days.
The Moshiach will no doubt be the one guy who took things [ironically] seriously, calling the bluff.
To that extent, the Maharl says he shall come riding on a donkey; choosing emes over exploitation of a prophets' vision in hijack.
Who knew the path to redemption was to be found in the hands of the anti-?
In the end, perhaps Armilos was simply head of God's promotion staff and  marketing team.
Light from Darkness; God's Illumination Program is called End of Days.
Global Research:

As the Obama Administration is in preparation for a war in Syria, the state of Israel is deploying an Iron Dome anti-rocket battery to counter Hezbollah’s Katyusha rockets that landed on Israeli territory during the conflict between both Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon back in 2006, which resulted in Israel’s defeat. The Jerusalem Post just reported the move by the Israeli Defense Forces Friday morning. “The IDF deployed an Iron Dome anti-rocket battery in the Haifa area early Friday morning, amid heightened tensions in the North stemming from the ongoing Syrian civil war.” The Chief of Staff of the IDF Lt. General Benny Gantz told newly trained pilots who were “receiving their wings” at the Hatzerim Air Base to be ready for war:

The region is shaking, from south to north. Syria is hemorrhaging blood, and in Lebanon, the fire has begun to catch the edge of Nasrallah’s robe. In the face of this changing reality, we must be prepared, coordinated and alert, more than ever. You, the graduates, have from now on an inseparable part in safeguarding our readiness against these challenges

Hezbollah fired over 3,000 Katyusha artillery rockets at Israel during the war. Israel is ready to invade Lebanon full-force to remove them as an obstacle to their war plans against Syria and eventually Iran. The Anti-Assad rebels recently have been also targeting Hezbollah territories with rockets fired from Syria and in Lebanon.

The United States and its allies have been using the “divide and conquer” strategy to ignite tensions between Sunnis and Shiites with the purpose of creating chaos in the volatile area between Israel and Syria. If that were to succeed as planned then Israel could launch strikes against Hezbollah forces with the intention of assassinating key members and crippling their artillery.

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon said recently that “An exercise on the Golan Heights is not just a theoretical exercise,” Netanyahu said after watching a brief part of the multi-day drill on the central Golan. “The situation around us has changed swiftly. It is volatile and dynamic, and we need to be prepared accordingly.” With the Western backed rebels creating chaos in Lebanon, Israel can attack Hezbollah at a moments notice. But Hezbollah is prepared for such an attack. They have military capabilities that defeated one of the most powerful militaries in the world (Israel) back in 2006.

Israel is making all preparations possible including spying on Hezbollah members which was also reported by The Jerusalem Post ‘Inside the IDF Combat Unit: Monitoring Hezbollah,’ As the “Post’ joins intelligence battalion drilling for war in North; Unit collects crucial data for would be confrontation in Lebanon.”

IDF soldiers are collecting information on the activities of Hezbollah members so that they would be immediately targeted during a war. “The battalion-the second largest in the IDF-this week completed a grueling five-week training drill in the upper Galilee, designed to prepare its members for all eventualities. During continuous security missions, the battalion expands the IDF’s target list, which will be activated during a future outbreak of war.”

Targeted assassinations of key members of Hezbollah including its leader Hasan Nasrallah will be one of Israel’s key strategies. Israel assassinated Hezbollah’s previous leader Abbas al Musawi in 1992 when an Israeli Apache helicopter fired missiles killing al-Musawi and his family that included his infant son. “Once hostilities erupt, the battalion provides an instant intelligence picture of developments in the field, enabling the IDF to quickly direct devastating , accurate firepower at enemy positions” the report said. Lt. Col Yiftah Siboni, the battalion’s commander said “We monitor Hezbollah and update the list of targets for attack. We’re continuously adding targets to the list. This is the core aspect of our activities.” As he continued “We are hunters, not fisherman. We don’t wait around for something to bite, but rather seek out the targets.” Israel is planning to attack northern Lebanon in the near future as the US and NATO allies plan an invasion of Syria if the Western-backed rebels fail to remove Syrian President Bashar Hafez al-Assad. Syria is the main target, but Hezbollah is the obstacle.

Is Israel’s plan to create war and chaos along with its Western allies in the Middle East that would last decades in its best interest? Do Israeli citizens want this war that can affect their way of life for generations to come? Citizens in Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Iran and elsewhere from all walks of life whether Sunni, Shiite, Christian, Jewish, rich and poor all understand the horrors of war. If Israel and the West continue this path to war starting with Hezbollah and then Syria and eventually Iran, it will inflame the entire Middle East. World War III is on the horizon. Is the world ready for such a catastrophic event that is going to take place? I hope we do not get to that point, but then again, we shall soon see.

A Priest To God Above Within The Spirit Of Elijah!

                                                                    Parashas Pinchas
                                                        Finding The Ger Above Nature
                                                                    Rabbi David Katz

Parashas Pinchas in many respects is the conclusion of the story that began at Sinai, enclothed within the enigma known as Jethro [the Ger]. Although the connection may seem a bit opaque at first glance and seemingly devoid of mutual content, the Jethro - Pinchas pipeline contains a subtle quality of firepower that without annual close investigation, the consequences are to endure yet another year of exile.

On one hand is Parashas Jethro, obviously well-known as the miraculous giving of the Torah, through a lesser known agency, this being the consummate Ger in Jethro. On the other hand is Parashas Pinchas within the summer months, of which we say that it is precisely under these times, that the Messiah is born, and delivered to the World. One could easily generalize the essential qualities of the Parshiot as the beginning of the Jewish mission through bestowing the Torah upon the World, and the fulfillment of God’s Divine Word.  What people are often not aware of is that one leads to another, as Jethro was the catalyst for Pinchas’ zealous behavior, in the culmination of a unique family conquest! Jethro is Pinchas’ grandfather, and their saga is the ultimate expression of divinity coming into this World from a Place that only God could know. For all intents and purposes, we call this climax the moment that Pinchas speared two sinners to death; God would call it the moment that Torah won on Earth through the Love of the Ger.

Pinchas is the son of Aaron son of Elazar, who married of the daughters of Putiel; Putiel being a Torah hint [in language, even on the Simple Meaning level] that points to Jethro. The Midrash explains that the Putiel reference to Jethro is a metaphor to his days of repentance and salvation from idolatry and coming to the ways of Hashem.  In this light, we see that Pinchas [on his mother’s side] is a descendant of Jethro, and even in words of kabbalah, it is said that Pinchas contains an incarnation of Jethro, making him truly one with Jethro.

The irony would begin under these circumstances of close proximity, and all the while surrounding the fact that Jethro was a Ger, a repentant from idolatry, to the point that if Torah were to be seen from a dramatic perspective, Jethro would be a lead role! Yet here was Pinchas as a son of Aaron, a budding young star with a lot to prove to himself, to the Jewish People, to the Gerim, and ultimately to God Himself – being asked to move mountains while immersed in Ger lore through his odd family dynamic. All together one couldn’t paint a more taxing scenario in Torah, especially since these episodes took place at the ever crucial formation of the newly found Torah Universe. From a researcher’s conclusion, one can testify that Pinchas’ miracles emerged from his association with Jethro the Ger, yet the pedestrian model would blindly see only images of doom destined to erupt from the family contained in Pinchas’ proverbial spear.  Ultimately God would orchestrate from the utmost chaos, a monumental suicide mission of which its seeds were sown from before Sinai, in the greatest display of Torah unfolding that the Creation would ever know in Pinchas’ vengeance and loyalty to God through his Love of Jethro and his deeper Love for the Ger – all in the eyes of the scoffers amongst Israel.

To arrive at a clear understanding of Pinchas’ heroism, one must first understand the Torah that was not spoken at the time of the Pinchas narrative, using the Torah itself to pose as its own exclusive commentary, as the key that opens God’s most sacred door: Pinchas’ Covenant of Peace. This simple passage in the Parsha is perplexing by nature, and we are told year after year the magnitude of Pinchas’ bravery, how it is Messianic in that it led to Pinchas finding his own internal Elijah, yet in only a few short weeks we will be sitting amidst the ashes of yet another 9th of Av wondering where we went wrong in our plight to find Moshiach! So let the story be told of Pinchas, the one who restored the Torah, the whole Torah, as it will be in the End of Days; making the logical place to begin with perhaps the most simple and logical application [even if it is a direct response to God Himself] in the performance of, “that which is hateful to you, to others to not do.” Simply put, God hated what was going on in Israel, and Pinchas brought Peace the only way possible – through Love.

Love your neighbor as yourself the Torah commands us, yet with even one moment of contemplation and honesty in this matter, it is quickly seen as an impossible request, for it defies the laws of nature, no matter how sincere the servant of God. The commentators explain that to effectively not hate in your heart is sufficient in the performance of this mitzvah, one that is said to comprise the entire Torah. Pinchas however stood on a different ground, as he restored [the entire] Torah in the desert [as he speared Zimri and Cozbi through Torah law, as they were engaged in severe immorality, coupled with Moses’ moment of duress] by not keeping status quo; Pinchas Loved his neighbor as himself, or more explicitly, he Loved the Ger as himself.

The commandment to love thy neighbor [let’s call it Hillel’s law, as it was said over numerous times in his name, in his counsel with the Ger] is auspiciously juxtaposed within abstract Ger Torah [a Ger is forbidden to combine mixtures; kilayim] that is seemingly begging for attention to be associated with Hillel’s law. The commentators even elaborate on this point, by stating that there is indeed a mitzvah to Love the Ger, as one’s self – yet without the allowance of a lesser degree of simply “don’t hate him” – for the grammar is oddly such that it yields no lending hand with the Ger. With a little bit of thought into matters and promptly superimposed upon the Pinchas – Jethro family tree, we may bear testimony to the ultimate expression of Moshiach in the times of the year of Moshiach, in finally understanding Pinchas and his covenant of Peace.

The Ger is not Jewish, and thus has no command of Loving the neighbor, no matter how noble this may seem. Couple that, with not only today, but in all of history, the most neglected mitzvah, which happens to be God’s favorite [as we are told 46 times along with numerous hints] in” Love the Ger”, and you have the golden recipe to harbor unprecedented hatred in the World, while the Torah hasn’t changed its stance on how it feels toward hate. The entire Torah is bound up on this point, and the only salvation at hand, is that we are told not to worry, as it is against nature to change it.

Although this is true, it is only half true, for this equation and its solution often does not take counsel with the Ger variable, as he is simply seen as dwelling on the outside of matters due to his lack of explicit command on scene. The irony is, that to calculate this into a formidable outcome, would be an astronomical theory, one that we are supposed to be believe that one day man will magically arrive at such an accounting, that man is the Messiah, and the generation that brings him. However Torah teaches a different lesson on these matters, one that goes against the limited hearts  of man; the man came already, his name is Pinchas, he is promised to return in the guise as Elijah, he will announce redemption, and his secret [in merit] was in his power of belief in Torah.

Pinchas followed the instruction manual to open one’s heart with ability to love; he saw to first Love the Ger. Newton’s Law in these spiritual matters, is that perhaps the Ger would take it upon himself to Love you back, showing the two-way street of love in the flavor of Hillel’s law. All of a sudden, nature is transcended, Love is found, it is to the letter of the one who said it, and only then can one truly sanctify on the highest level – to Love God Himself.

It would be great to say that Pinchas was simply a greater prophet than even Moses, and prophetically he achieved such an exalted status with God.  But the answer is far simpler – for Pinchas loved his grandfather Jethro. To make matters even more ironically simple, he didn’t love him simply as a family affair; he loved him for he was one with him, he found it within himself to Love the Ger. Once Pinchas was in Love, the Torah was in his hands, and he could arouse even the Love of the People with their Maker – Jew and Ger, in what was miraculously achieved under the pretext of the covenant of Peace. The Torah itself says to Love is to not be jealous of another, and Pinchas knew not of jealousy, for he was its antithesis in divine zealotry.  This was clearly a love affair, born of Peace, and conceived in the Awe that he found by adhering to God’s Torah, enveloped in a false foe of Jethro.

Jethro in the true Light of Pinchas’ Glorification of God, shall forever be known as Reuel – the [true] friend of God, a true friend to all, the ultimate personification of the Brotherhood of Jew-Ger, even beyond what Moses and Jethro enveloped amongst themselves [as reincarnations of Kain and Able]. Such exaltation will forever stand as the Covenant of Peace, and its symbol is eternally embedded within the additional letter yud added to Pinchas’ name, as testimony that Pinchas’ deed was God’s will, such that it is the prophecy of his name [this aspect of prophecy, within the name is thus seen to be even more explicit than all other prophecy until this time, for it derived from Wisdom, as opposed to a lower level – Netzach]. This however is not the end of the story, but rather a new beginning, for the letter vav contained within the word “Shalom” is prophetically commanded to remain in broken form – Pinchas’ Priesthood, symbolic of Peace, would be told in this unique Torah anomaly.

In Hebrew rules, a vav may express either the word “and” or “or”; add in the true methods of exegesis in Torah, double entendre etc., and then we can begin to understand the magnitude of how great Pinchas’ achievement really was and how is his Priesthood possible. His Peace contains more than a mouthful and reveals even the Messianic Kingdom that is appropriate with the Priesthood, in the repair of the Firstborn! [Jethro was an incarnation of Kain, and all World repair must be for the sake of Kain’s firstborn rights; Pinchas elicited this repair, even beyond the ability of Moses, for Pinchas Loved the Ger in an unprecedented display before God]

In Hebrew, double entendre is part of tradition, as it is a tool to contain massive amounts of information, making the Torah possible to be written; this gives way to kabbalah, and nobody ever taught kabbalah quite like Pinchas – Elijah. The word “Shalom” [from “my covenant of”] is lacking the necessary article "of”; yet if we look within the word Shalom itself, and employ the broken vav to simply mean “and” we can see that the word contains the full expression of peace in proper form. Yet on the other hand, if invoke the “or” mechanism, suddenly the double entendre appears, and “shalom” appears like this,ש''ל או ם – meaning, “we can say the word “of” is inside, making the word Shalom into a complex sort of equation that tells the entire story, or we can employ the “or” thus alluding to the “letter mem”, therefore illuminating itself as the other half of the double entendre, to the exclusion of the “lamed” and making the “mem’ the operative function in Torah – Grammar- Calculus, ultimately producing, “שם” – Shem! Effectively, it would read, “My covenant Shem.”

One must remember that it is Shem who was Malki Tzedek, and met with Abraham on the Temple Mount, in efforts to pass the Messianic torch to Abraham, along with Priestly rights, Kingdom rights, Torah rights, Firstborn rights, etc. In essence the Messianic Light was given to Abraham, and it finally materialized as Pinchas the son of Elazar son of Aaron through the daughters of Putiel, Daughters of Jethro.  Only on Sinai do we see that Aaron was given the seed of the Priest, even to the exclusion of Pinchas due to circumstance. Yet the Zohar explains Pinchas’ Priesthood was unique, as it comes from the Supernal Priesthood, and thus operates on a slightly different frequency, identical to that of Abraham before him. This is the Priesthood of Shem, the father of Gerim in Torah, he who functions perhaps the most intimately in Torah, even in a Messianic way [albeit from the Upper Worlds, where he serves in the heavenly Temple], for he is one of Four Redemption Craftsmen, in the Righteous Priest.

The Righteous Priest is an accolade that Shem shares with none other than Pinchas in Torah tradition, and is thus fitting that they are so bound up amongst each other. For Pinchas and Shem are the Priestly souls that usher in Messiah’s Kingdom, bringing the ultimate expression of repair back into Creation, utterly fixing the blemish that would originate in Adam and his sons. It was Shem who perfected the Primordial Torah, and initiated the Abraham – Ger Toshav program from atop Zion; how appropriate that the final vision of Light should come from the same cloth, as Pinchas won the High Priesthood the day he connected with Shem who dwells in the Holy Temple above, expressing a truly redemptive spirit amidst the Congregation in the eyes of God.

The Torah for one moment, had its true Messianic moment, one inspired by Shem many moons before Pinchas roamed the sidelines, and that moment was just as Shem engineered through his Blessings and transfer to Abraham – a simple message, one that will rise to the ears of God’s mind – Love the Ger, for no other reason, than the eternal fact that God simply Love the Ger. Love is found within the heart of the Torah, verse Vayikra 19:19 to be exact, and we adjured to Love God, Love Creation,  to be Loving People and removing jealousy and hatred; the formula is simple and profound: to find love is to love the Ger, only then can you rise above the confines of one’s heart to Love your neighbor, which is to finally Love God.  Yet that may be a bit hard to recall in a  moment’s notice; in short, Love the Ger, as God says, “…for I Love the Ger” – and that should be enough, as it was indeed for Pinchas, and his covenant of Peace.

Global Research:

Israel is concerned over the Syrian War’s reach into the Golan Heights which they have been occupying since Six-Day War of 1967. The Golan Heights is a strategic territory for Israel’s security and it is an important source of its water supplies. An attack on Syria could occur if they crossed into Israel’s occupied land.

It was reported in an NBC news report that correspondent John Ray interviewed top Israeli air force officials about Israel’s monitoring of the Golan Heights of the Syrian border:

The spillover of violence from the Syrian conflict into the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights is threatening to jeopardize the decades old cease-fire between the two countries and spark a regional conflict.

A series of mighty Israeli airstrikes, apparently on weapons convoys heading from Syria towards President Bashar Assad’s allies in the Hezbollah militia in Lebanon, has shattered the fragile truce that has existed along the border since 1973

The Golan Heights, rightfully known as the Syrian Golan is a center of dispute between Syria and Israel since the 1940’s. On June 19th, 1967 Israel offered to return the Golan Heights to Syria if the Arab world would recognize Israel as a state. The Arab world refused such agreements with the Khartoum Resolution that same year. The 1967 occupation of the Golan Heights and the Upper Mount Hermon allowed Israel to seize the entire Upper Jordan River giving Israel access to the Upper Jordanian waters.

Then another conflict developed in 1973 called the Yum Kipper War or the Arab-Israeli War between Egyptian and Syrian forces who invaded the Sinai Peninsula and the Golan Heights, both territories occupied by Israel since the Six-Day War. The United States supplied Israel and the former Soviet Union supplied Egypt and Syria with weapons during the conflict as both superpowers were fighting the cold war against each other during that time. After the Yum Kipper War, Israel returned 5% of the Golan Heights to Syrian control with a demilitarized zone along the area that is declared a ceasefire zone that extends east under the United Nations Peace Keeping forces.

When an Israeli Air Force official was asked about the situation in the Golan Heights, he said “It’s the kind of thing happening more and more,” one of the uniformed escorts explained.” As he continued “We have for 40 years been training for this exact moment. And we are ready for anything,” said a pilot that can be identified under Israeli military rules only as “Major L.”

The Israeli Air Force official had no comment on whether Israel has been flying missions over Syria, “We are searching for peace, but preparing for war,’’ is all Pilot L would say.

When asked if he had already flown missions across the border, he shook his head slowly: no comment.” If Israel decided to attack Syria based on the Golan Heights, then the US and NATO would support Israel’s incursion into Syria’s borders. It would be a perfect excuse to attack Syria. The Golan Heights is a strategic military location and one of the most important water resources for the state of Israel. Israel would protect its interests with the United States as its principal supporter. The United States Secretary of State John Kerry and the United Nations under Ban-Ki Moon want the remaining UN Peacekeepers who are from the Philippines to stay. According to an Associated Press report:

The United Nations and the U.S. have separately asked the Philippines not to withdraw its more than 300 peacekeepers from the Golan Heights, warning of “maximum volatility” in the region after several other countries decided to pull out their peacekeeping forces amid escalating violence, the Philippines’ top diplomat said Wednesday.

Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario said U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry appealed to him in recent talks. He said he told them security for the forces should be bolstered for the Philippines to consider keeping them in the volatile buffer zone between Syria and Israel.

If the UN Peacekeeping Forces pull out of the zone then Israel will send in their troops antagonizing the Syrian government.

Last month, del Rosario recommended to Philippine President Benigno Aquino III that the peacekeepers be withdrawn from the Golan Heights following two separate abductions of Filipino peacekeepers and the wounding of another in fighting between Syrian government and rebel forces.

The Philippines Foreign Secretary knows that an Israeli strike into Syria is near; therefore his recommendation to remove forces is being challenged by both the US and the UN. According to del Rosario:

“This, of course, will create a vacuum in the Golan, that separation stretch which keeps Israel away from Syria,” del Rosario said in a news conference in Manila. He said Kerry and Ban told him that if the Philippines also withdraws, that would “create maximum volatility for the area.” Albert del Rosario did stress that “Aquino said last week the changes he was looking for included additional equipment and enhanced security for the peacekeepers, and different rules of engagement. He continued “If there is no change in the conditions, it might be an undoable mission and our poor troops will be in the middle of two potentially clashing forces and they cannot defend themselves.”

Israel’s concern with the Golan Heights would allow it to launch a definitive strike that would try to cripple Syria’s military capabilities. With the Obama administration willing to supply the Anti-Assad rebels with weapons it would allow Israel to enter a full-fledged war into the Golan Heights. Any artillery shells that lands on the occupied territory would allow Israel to launch a full scale war into Syria with America’s blessing. The Obama administration would support Israel and the rebels with supplies and possibly even US troops already on Jordan’s northern border. The Golan Heights has been an area of tension that resulted in numerous conflicts between Israel and Syria for decades. The Golan Heights has numerous interests for the state of Israel that involves a military advantage over its enemies including Hezbollah and an important commodity for its citizens, water.

If Israel feels that its occupied territory is threatened, it will respond with its military power to remove the Assad government. But Syria will respond to any attack by Israel with full-force along with the Hezbollah forces based in southern Lebanon. The Golan Heights dispute can ignite World War III if the Obama administration aids the rebels on one-side allowing Israel to attack Syria on the other. It was also reported in The Jerusalem Post that the Israel Defense Forces just completed a drill combining the Air Force, Army and Naval forces against possible conflicts against Syria, Hezbollah and even Hamas in the Palestinian territory:

On Wednesday, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon addressed an end-of –training event for IDF officers at a base in Mitzpe Ramon, “At this time, the IDF is dealing both at home and abroad, near and far, with a considerable number of fronts of uncertainty,” he said.

Ya’alon cited the Lebanese front where Hezbollah continues to arm itself and plans on harming Israeli civilians in a future conflict, and the front with Syria, “where a civil war continues to exact a heavy price of human lives, and a (civil) war is nearing our borders, placing us before a complex test that is full of significance.”

He added that there was “a front of uncertainty with the Gaza Strip, where the Hamas terrorist group continues to rule, and which has placed as its goal the destruction of the state of Israel.”

Israel is preparing to launch a war starting with Syria, Palestine and Hezbollah which will last for a very long time. Israel is the occupying force that is waging war across the Middle East. It would result in mass civilian deaths on both sides of the conflict.
