The Zohar Finale!

Parashas Matos – Masei -
The Real Derech Eretz

Rabbi David Katz

The Zohar on our Parsha can in many ways be seen as a fitting close to the Book of Bamidbar, and to a greater extent the entire Torah, as we conclude the Torah’s message, and trek onwards to our fundamental review and reiteration of the Torah in what is often called “Mishna Torah” [Devarim] – The Torah in review. One can argue that the underlying premise of the Torah is to introduce through two unique pathways two unique Nations that must learn to find each other, co-exist, and forge an inseparable bond, while maintaining a healthy buffer zone; all under the pretext of a search and rescue mission as part of the myriad of challenges presented through Torah reality. The objective of such activity can be primarily recognized as the flourishing of Torah through the hand of Israel, while putting into practice the Torah’s innate wisdom with sights set to redeem the elusive Ger [Tzedek].
The most important ingredient of this diet would fall under the guidelines of the first and most important commandment in the Torah [for both peoples]: “to be fruitful and multiply”; accordingly, it would take the entirety of Torah wisdom to achievement a refinement that would befit both camps and allow separate sovereignty, while not polluting the taboo Mendoza Line. For the repair of society and continuing to walk with Hashem, marriage and procreation would become the Holy of Holies, and the prevailing theme of what would define a successful regime, compared to that of the exiles and failures of yesteryear.

The Parshiot [and the Zohar] hone in on a lesser known law amongst the myriad of statutes that we have covered between the covers of the Torah [drawing extra emphasis on the very nature of the Torah having a cover, i.e. The Red Heifer being seen as the Torah’s fertilization as such], this being the nature of captive women coming into Israel for possible marriage, and depending on the circumstances, the Talmud makes mention that under extreme [and even non-ideal] circumstances, a Priest may be involved, as Pinchas the Priest is on scene when the law is introduced upon Israel.  [Bamidbar 31:17] From this relatively unknown law, the secrets of Kabbalah ooze out as edible fruits from the Tree of Life; the most inner dimension of the Pillars of Life stand tall in the form of Man and Woman, Ger and Jew, “Red and White” [in the secrets of colors], Kindness and Judgment [the two arms of existence], and the Godly Soul vs. the Animal Soul [that will come to define the Torah existence of both Nations as evidence of the burden of the Commandments].

To begin the exegesis of the topics mentioned, the most basic of all beginnings is to accurately define Man and Woman according to the Torah [and Zohar in particular], as by way of cliché, the World consists of two types of people in male and female.  The male in Kabbalistic terms is seen to enjoy a soul source of Kindness [inclined to] whereas his counterpart, i.e. Woman, is rooted in Judgment [most keenly aware of the yolk placed upon Man]. His task is to develop and impart his Wisdom through Kindness, in a palatable form, so that the Woman may be able to taste from the fruits of Kindness, sweeten her view of the Universe, and thus bring both parties under the canopy of a Merciful World, one that would recognize true reality, as God’s humble domain.

The basic premise is that neither enjoys liberty of a full panoramic view of God’s Creation alone [to which the Torah says “to be alone is not good”], and the task is to come together for the repair of schism, and enjoy the Will of God from a state of heightened perception and recognition of God through a clear Torah lens. Anything that would stand against this paradigm would represent an antithesis to God’s created purpose for mankind, thus delaying God’s destination point of a healthy and perfected society. This is the blueprint for all pairs in the Kabbalistic Universe, and thereby the core to the repair of schism between the Jew and the Ger.

Irrespective of one’s national identity, the layout for Women is to exist within a state of judgment in spirit; this is realized in her desire for Understanding, and keen ability to do so. Where her story takes unique shape and form, is in the Man that she chooses, and recognizes, as the means for her potential to establish herself as having ability and confidence to sustain a full measure of Light. The attribute of Judgment is a natural vessel in a spiritual universe, and only the chemistry of a compatible Kindness will culminate into a Merciful new Creation that rectifies both parties.  Being as such for the Woman [and in particular since the law only is interested in her, and the male counterpart is in exclusion, she is seen in universal terms], a greater emphasis is put onto the Man and his flavor of Kindness in accordance with the Woman that he is to be partnered with.

The two types of Man [as the basic fractal of Creation is often seen in a basic duality lens, comparing and contrasting two types, whatever the subject] can be generalized as the Ger and the Jew, while engaging two types of women, the Jewess and the Giuress [female Ger]. In oversimplified terms, a healthy relationship Kabbalistically is between the Jewish Man and Woman and the male and female Gerim.  Not only does this serve to preserve and govern both Nations uniquely, but  it in and of itself it is a type of healthy male and female existence; the Jewish Nation taking on the female personification, while the Ger represents the masculine role, within Torah government.

The male Ger and his Kindness, is a particular perspective [deriving from Abrahamic Kindness] that naturally grafts onto a female Ger, in a fertilization that bears fruits of Mercy. The Jewish male on the other hand [and his perspective of Abrahamic Kindness] has his own separate effect on a Jewish woman that will sweeten her existence. [Both view of Abraham by the males are thus necessary to gain full perspective of what could be seen as a supernal Abraham, i.e. the true nature to God’s attribute (in sefirot) of Kindness; it takes two to know One] The inverse from the Female Jewish side of the equation can be seen as catastrophic as we will see, and the inverse from the female Ger side is actually the nature of the Torah law of the Parsha, and even the source of what will go down in history as the seed of Moshiach!

From the Jewish female side, and in a condition of engagement with a male Ger, the Torah warns against such a union. Although there are always exceptions to rules in nature that seem to defy logic [even Torah logic, i.e. Iyov], the Kindness of a male Ger lacks its desired intention when coupled with Jewish Judgment. The result is actually a heightened sense of Judgment that is devoid of Kindness, and actually becomes acute stern judgment. This may not even be seen as something to be avoided amongst both parties, and can then appear as an elevation of spirit and enjoyed as a pleasant surprise. However, this is indeed a pitfall, and goes against Hashem’s constructive plan for Creation; this is therefore destructive from the Torah point of view, when seen in its true macro form, and is fuel for the animalistic aspects of soul, in face of the divine qualities within.

In the other hemisphere, a Ger woman is best suited for the Kindness of the Ger male, as they share the same spiritual matrix under the domain of a common Abraham/Kindness, in light of the proper Ger Toshav. Yet as we know rules break in nature, there is a special circumstance where there is precedent of the female Ger – Jewish male union.  This can be seen in two simple yet radical ways that have seen their share of Light in Torah in very subtle and non-discreet settings. The most famous examples are in association with Pinchas the Priest and Ruth with Boaz.

Although Pinchas’ specific history with his wife of whom he inherited is sketchy at best, what we do know is that he married a daughter of Joshua and Rachav; Joshua obviously Jewish while Rachav certainly a Ger Tzedek female; non concubine. The product was otherworldly, as Rachav produced the Nation’s most distinguished Priests and Prophets, among them Jeremiah.  From this we see [that to whatever extent] Joshua married a Ger female and Pinchas [a Priest] was able to marry the product of such a union. The irony of the story is that Pinchas only became a Priest because of his zealotry in these matters! Thus the lesson learned from Pinchas’ spear, is that only when the conditions are spot on within the boundary of the utmost holiness can such a union commence; failure in these matters are consequently catastrophic as we saw with Zimri and Cozbi through the Tribe of Shimon.

The Zohar comes to illustrate exactly this point through the attribute of Kindness; for this shall build the World. Rashbi [Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai] states that if there is a scenario of a Ger woman and Jewish male, and the male representation is the ONLY means she has to marry and bear fruit [as evidenced with Joshua and Rachav] then he is obligated to not forsake her, and to “build the world with Kindness” through her. This is an extremely rare occasion, not practiced today, and is extremely difficult to carry out in accordance with God’s will in Torah.  With that stated as such, this happens to be the very pipeline that Messianic seed is sewn, in efforts to confuse the evil of this world. The only problem is that it has equally baffled the multitudes of Torah scholars over time as well.

The one major salvation that we have openly witnessed with regards to this archaic statute of permitted intermingling occurred with Ruth and Boaz. As we know with Ruth, she was a Moabite, then, went onwards to become a Noahide / Ger as we meet her in her marriage to Machlon before he dies childless. Ruth then ventures onwards with Naomi and proclaims, “Your God is my God – Your people are my people.” What seemed as a potentially benign statement would be the shot heard around the world, for this was the moment of truth for the eventual opening of Moshiach to find entrance into this world.

Boaz soon took Ruth in Levirate marriage in a righteous effort to reclaim the life of Ruth’s former husband Machlon through her eventual son through Boaz, in Oved, father of Jesse, father of David. In a generic view of the Torah Universe, Boaz had no business to be with Ruth, through the protocol of the Jew and the Ger. Yet one could argue that this was a special exception through Torah Law in Bamidbar, and Boaz was justified as such; however what then is the status of the seed, i.e. is [the seed of Messiah son of] David kosher?! – This is the age old question in fact!

Torah informs us on this point, that there is not to worry, for Ruth in Boaz’s eyes was “an eshet chayil” – a Jewish woman, for she proclaimed to Naomi – “your people….Your God…” The amazing function of this dynamic is that this is achieved BECAUSE of the Torah law in Bamidbar! Since the union was technically allowed, [through her Judgment and his Kindness] Ruth was free to work with her seeds of Judgment, and she discovered [through Naomi and Machlon before her] what Jewish Judgment in women is; she thus desired the same for herself, and becomes a vessel for Jewish Kindness, as she desired to become a conduit of God’s Mercy from a Jewish point of view.

Boaz soon discovered, that her actions and desires [to couple for the sake of a commandment; a Jewish expression as opposed to that of an open action of traditional Ger women] were inherently Jewish, and he appropriately realized that she was indeed Jewish, by her deepest desire finding its way into reality. Thus through the opening in Law and with completely righteous intentions and actions, Boaz and Ruth pioneered a unique path from the female Ger domain, along the lines of Jewish Kindness, and into Messianic royalty. Had any of the equation been different, this would be impossible to achieve; the entire mission would need to be directed by the finger of God.

We see that in God’s universe, extreme caution must be adhered to, especially in matters of procreation, and in simplified terms, making flesh pink from joining forces of Red and White in proper male and female relations. As with anything in life, moral social norms are in place for the betterment of Mankind, keeping integrity amongst peoples, and allowing for an orderly dynamic in society. The Torah however is not a draconian text, and sees into the hearts of its adherer’s; sometimes God’s Kindness must prevail when the conditions are just right. Although most of us will never find ourselves on such risky ground, and will follow suit with our ancestors before us, such sacred knowledge will bestow profound wisdom into the Torah, providing the answers we need in moments of faith, where only God’s truth will suffice.

The Ger and the Jew [along with all other paired couples] are commanded and destined to Love on another; our existence is predicated on this point. We shall enjoyed side – by – side success and redemption, walking into the Messianic age with hands held high. Yet the Torah closes with both a Blessing and a Curse, much like the ultimate closing we encounter in Devarim. The Ger and the Jew will be in intimate proximity of one another; a word to the wise should suffice. For every Shimon, there is a Pinchas with his spear held in hand; yet for every step of the Messiah, we may recall Ruth, Boaz, and the Tribe of Judah to some extent.  The Torah commands Love the Ger, and it is our job, as Mankind, to know what that means, for that was why we were created – to carry out His Torah with perfected responsibility in hand. This may be where the Torah ends, yet this is actually where the path of Life begins; for every Adam and Eve, underneath lays the blueprint for the Ger and the Jew. Thank God they are in realistic terms, the ultimate fruits of the Tree of Life, like a delicate fine wine, best served when eaten out of the palm of mutual hands, as will be done in the era of Adam’s Universal Shabbat, and may it be soon in our days. Amen.

Edom Is Not The Energizer Bunny, Nor Is It Still Going

Wrestling [Olympics 2020]: Dead.Over.The Way of The Dinosaur.Edom is Too Tired To Continue.Uncle.

The Olympics has canceled Wrestling from the 2020 Olympics. This is actually mind blowing.

To start things off on this topic, Jacob merited to be called Israel [Wrestling with God] by doing just that, he wrestled with God.

It seems Edom is just too tired too even wrestle [for their own blood] anymore.

Every wrestler in the world lives and wrestles for one dream only: get the gold medal, spend every four years chasing that dream, and live your life from youth to [hypothetically] old age to do so. For the wrestler, it is not a sport, it is a part of life, a way of life, a faction of the Briah.

Wreslting, according to Torah - Is part of the Briah! Jacob wrestled, it is in the Chumash, and thus it has divine roots; Jacob didn't become Israel by shooting hoops with the malach hamavet in a drive way game of basketball.

There are a few options here:

  • Is this a spiritual attack on the name Israel [wrestle with God]? If you eliminate the concept from the psyche, lost will be the feel for what Jacob stands for.
  • MMA vs. Wrestling. Wrestling is actually a very noble sport, and one seen with high codes of morality, honor, proper conduct etc. Much the same way champion chess players are treated with esteem for their abilities, such is the way of the wrestler. Is the goal of Edom to even more mainstream Mixed Martial Arts, aka modern day gladiators [of which wrestlers succumb to for financial reasons, and obviously enough they excel in the crossover] and gain wrestling devotion, thereby ending wrestling desire [amongst the youth especially] and promote blood thirsty savage people [again, esp. kids] to become entertainment venues, primed and ready to spill endless amounts of blood for a cheap thrill in each city across the globe? [Edom-izing the planet, or better yet: Edom -Amalekizing]
  • Or - is Edom simply too tired; Too tired to train [of which wrestling is known for, superior conditioning to withstand intense action for long periods, of which for success, condition must not be a factor to the negative.], too tired to care, too tired for genuine sport, etc etc.
  • Is there any real chachmah even left for America to maintain authenticity?

Does Edom have any Ko-ach left? It seems all that seems dear to them is falling  aside, and only to detriment; when wrestling goes - MMA rises, with the Pope stepping down - the evil of Catholicism seems poised to make a run at Jerusalem, etc. etc.

YahooNews:

Wrestling's world governing body is hoping to make the International Olympic Committee perform a dramatic U-turn and save the sport from being booted out of the Games.

Wrestling has been a part of every modern Olympics dating back to 1896. (AP) The wrestling world was shocked when an IOC vote on Tuesday put it on the fast-track to Olympic extinction, with its only chance of survival coming in September when it will be one of seven sports bidding to be part of the 2020 Games.

Wrestling's governing body FILA did little in the way of lobbying to protect itself from being cut ahead of Tuesday's meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland. Bracketed with other endangered Olympic sports such as modern pentathlon, field hockey and taekwondo, wrestling's hierarchy apparently assumed its long history in both the modern and ancient Olympics would ensure its safety.

"FILA was greatly astonished by today's recommendation of the IOC Executive Board not to maintain wrestling among the 25 core sports for the 2020 Olympic Games," read a FILA statement. A concerted political and public relations effort from the other sports meant wrestling did not make the cut – something it wants to rectify between now and September. Much of wrestling's core support lies in Russia where several of that country's wealthy oil businessmen are avowed fans, have sponsored tournaments and contributed funds to Russia's national wrestling program. [Related: Fans on Twitter make their case for wrestling] "This is something that can be looked at and there are wealthy and successful people who love wrestling," a FILA source told Yahoo! Sports. "The only option now is to try to raise awareness and support and that will take a lot of effort and money.

"People must be made to see how wide-ranging the support for wrestling is around the world." FILA is expected to spend heavily on a promotional video to be used at the IOC meeting in September, and its president, Raphael Martinetti of Switzerland, will spearhead an emergency meeting at the federation's annual conference in Thailand next week.

But it still might not be enough. The IOC rarely reverses its decisions, and even though none of the other sports hoping for 2020 inclusion have particularly compelling claims – squash and karate are the favorites – wrestling knows it is desperation time.

"FILA will take all necessary measures to convince the IOC Executive Board and IOC members of the aberration of such decision against one of the founding sports of the ancient and modern Olympic Games," added the FILA statement. FILA's campaign will rely heavily upon its international nature, with 179 affiliate nations, and even though the details will not be finalized for some time, it has already been discussed that the promotional video should feature footage of athletes from smaller nations with otherwise limited Olympic representation. On a smaller scale, individual athletes and fans are already trying to play their part. Jake Herbert of the United States, a 2012 world silver medalist, urged those with inspirational stories of how wrestling had positively impacted their lives to email him. Herbert plans to collate the messages and send them to the IOC in an attempt to further the cause.

, there was disappointment, mixed with the kind of defiance that might be expected from former exponents of such a demanding sport. "Wrestling is huge around the world and now is the time to tap into that support," Cael Sanderson, a gold medalist at the 2004 Games, told Yahoo! Sports. "Hopefully it is not the end." The United States has won 125 wrestling medals in its Olympic history, including 50 golds.

And Boy Was He Tired!

"And Yaacov was cooking a pot of (lentil) stew when Esav came in exhausted from his day in the field.
And Esav said to Yaacov, 'I'm tired and hungry.
Pour some of that red stuff down my throat'. He (Esav was therefore called Edom (the Red One)." (Bereishis 25:29-30)

This quote of Esav to Yaakov of "I'm tired" seems to be the essence of Edom and his Galus in particular. The Maharal of Prague states explicitly that the final exile will simply: 'expire' to its end.

Perhaps we are seeing America before she falls asleep.

YahooNews.com:

American war hero Chris Kyle fortuitously spoke of the legacy he wanted to leave just days before being shot dead by a fellow soldier he was mentoring.

“I would love for people to be able to think of me as a guy who stood up for what he believed in and helped make a difference for the vets,” he told the Texan News Service. “You know, somebody who cared so much about them that he wanted them taken care of.”

That mission was tragically cut short on Saturday when Kyle and another man were killed at a gun range in Central Texas. Police said former Marine Eddie Ray Routh, 25, shot the men, who reportedly were spending the day with Routh in an effort to help with his post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Kyle, a former Navy SEAL recognized as the deadliest sniper in U.S. history, authored the 2012 best-selling book "American Sniper." Five days before his own death, he spoke at length to TNS, an independent Web publication produced by students from Tarleton State University, which Kyle once attended. The 26-minute recorded conversation was likely his last media interview.

The heavily decorated veteran had also spoken about the notoriety brought on by the book, including a recent stint on an NBC reality show featuring war veterans and celebrities. Kyle, who had suffered with his own bouts of PTSD, disclosed that he may not have been ready for the rush of activity tied to the book. “I'm just trying to get back to normal life,” Kyle said.

He noted that when the book first came out, "I wasn’t in a good place yet in my life or in my head. But since then I’ve definitely gotten my head straight and gotten back to where I should be.”

Kyle attributed his recent happiness to spending more time with his family and his work with other veterans. He proudly talked about taking soldiers suffering from physical and emotional scars on deer hunting trips this past winter. “It sucks to be trapped somewhere,” he said of the hospitalized veterans. “You're just out there being one with the guys again, having fun and cutting up. Being in the outdoors, it seems to really progress their healing process. They get along so much faster to where the hospitals have now said, 'Whenever you want ’em, you just take ’em,' because ... they're just on a high for about two or three weeks.”

The work and outings have helped Kyle, too. “There’s definitely still a lot of hurt from losing my guys or the fact that I got out and I felt like it wasn’t my time yet,” he said. "Being able to do this makes me feel like I’m still a part of it and still giving back.”

Kyle had said he was giving all of his proceeds from “American Sniper” to the families of soldiers he couldn’t save in combat. He said he regularly received tearful calls and letters of thanks. “That means the world to me,” he told Texas News Service.

Kyle’s book is being made into a movie, but he said he was leaving the heavy lifting to the folks in Hollywood. “I’m trying to get it to where I spend more time at home, because the whole reason I got out was to be with my family,” he said. “I’m just trying to be the me that I am and not all of this other crap. I just want to be the family man, and if somehow I can make the money to get my ranch and get the hell away from everybody else, that would be awesome.”

Asked at the end of the interview if he had anything else to add, Kyle took a deep sigh and said, “I’m tired.”

Magog's Gog and Gog's Magog

Pollard was working with Pakistani intelligence.

What is interesting, is that in Islam, Pakistan is the arena for their Gog V' Magog war. From their end, End Times are real, as Pakistan is the heart of Islamic turmoil on many fronts. It makes sense that Jews [invested in dodgy affairs] would be involved with Pakistan on issues they would deem "Messianic." The signs are on many fronts.

Another interesting point to take in is this: Gaza, and its relationship to Jewish Gog V' Magog.

If the Geulah comes B' Rachamim [which I believe and feel it will]; a righteous [from teshuva] generation [in motion to develop] - then perhaps we caused the bomb shower to be reduced to a poor showing of fireworks.

Converge on Jerusalem - check
War - check
Ishmaelites - check
All the Nations against Israel - check
Prophetic - check
End of days - check
etc. etc. - CHECK

It could be that from here on out, the Geulah will awaken le'at le'at - as it is told in Talmud Yerushalmi Berachot: The Geulah will come like the first rays of sunlight in the early morning hours, growing stronger and stronger as the day commences.
We see this in Malchus Beis David in Zerach and Peretz: First is Zerach, with the rays of light "Zerach" the horizon, followed by Peretz, "busting" out into broad daylight.

Esau shows us in the Torah, that his weakness is that he is tired, and too tired to fight once the fight is on; Esav never even has the power to fully engage Yaakov, resorting to a kiss/bite of the neck, that Yaakov endures, and eventually wrestles Esav's angel instead - and wins, meriting Israel by name. The most Esav can do, is to let us not pass through his land. In the End of Days, we are promised Mt. Seir anyways, and perhaps the Jews of the diaspora will be urged to make Aliyah anyways.
Ishmael is to do Teshuva in the End of Days, and hopefully the moral of Arab Spring was to come to this place: a place of Teshuva.
"Melech Moshiach": is the Spirit of God hovering over the waters of Creation - Midrash Rabbah
What are these waters? - Teshuva
Lets hope the World has now had enough; enough of the lies, enough Amalek, enough burying children, etc. etc.
Now is the time of Teshuva. And for whatever Pollard has or has not done, it is on record from Ha Rav Mordechai Eliyahu that the Shechinah resides with Pollard, awaiting their release, and a pending Geulah. The one major Pollard brings to the table, is his Teshuva, as witnessed by the Rav.
We need a change of Mazal [from galus neurosis] - any change on that level needs a major zchus. There is no more of a zchus, than Teshuva.
In the time of the Exodus, Moshe was delivered to Israel, to Zchus his dor.
May Moshiach be amongst us, with eternal Teshuva in hand, to provide the necessary zchus, to bring a Geulah B' Rachamim, Clouds of Shamayim, and a Heavenly Temple ready to serve in  and a Mazal Tov Meod to Mankind.
[B''H Moshiach is with us, at least in spirit (as the Midrash suggests) and has reduced the Chevlei to a birth like the day of Chava in gan Eden, the way birth is supposed to be!]

Dawn.com:

In 1984 and 1985, Mr Pollard passed on to his Israeli handlers several sets of official US documents about the Kahuta plant.

Mr Pollard, although an American citizen, spied for Israel while working for the US Navy’s intelligence service. In 1987, he was sentenced to life in prison for spying but can be released on parole on Nov 21, 2015.

Last week the CIA released a classified document — “The Jonathan Jay Pollard Espionage Case: A Damage Assessment” — it had prepared on Oct 30, 1987.

The document, declassified on an appeal by the George Washington University’s National Security Archive project, contains previously classified information about Mr Pollard’s activities as an Israeli mole in the US intelligence system. The archive is a non-profit organisation working to reduce secrecy in the US government.

In a testimony to the trial court, former US defence secretary Caspar Weinberger said the documents Mr Pollard provided to the Israelis could fill a 6’x6’x10’ space.

The CIA document showed that Mr Pollard focused on “Arab (and Pakistani) nuclear intelligence; Arab exotic weaponry, including chemical weapons; Soviet aircraft; Soviet air defences; Soviet air-to-air missiles and air-to-surface missiles; and Arab order-of-battle, deployments, readiness”.

In a section titled “Implications of Compromises — What Israel Gained from Pollard’s Espionage”, the document reveals that “Mr Pollard’s stolen material, from the Israeli perspective, provided significant benefits [redacted] …. Page 59, [redacted] Pollard’s deliveries concerning PLO headquarters near Tunis, Tunisian and Libyan air defences, and Pakistan’s plutonium reprocessing facility near Islamabad”.

Israel used this information to attack the PLO headquarters in Tunis in Oct 1985.

There are 10 references to Pakistan and its nuclear facilities in the document but details have been erased from the copy posted on the archive’s website.

At one place, the CIA says that “political and economic intelligence was deemed less valuable than military and technical material” about all Middle Eastern countries, which one of Mr Pollard’s handlers, Yagur, defined as “ranging from Morocco to Pakistan and from Lebanon to Yemen.”

Some pages also contained information about the Afghan war and Pakistan’s role in that war.

Although the CIA document does not reveal what the Americans knew about Pakistan’s nuclear programme, other recently declassified documents, posted on the same website do.

The records show that by 1980s the Americans knew that Pakistan had a fairly advanced nuclear programme, but Islamabad’s support for the US-led war against the Soviets in Afghanistan prevented them from taking any major action against the Pakistanis.

In July 1982, the Reagan administration sent former CIA deputy director Gen Vernon Walters to meet Gen Muhammad Ziaul Haq with US intelligence reports about “an upswing of clandestine Pakistani efforts” to procure nuclear weapons. Confronted with the evidence, Gen Zia acknowledged that the information “must be true”, but restated earlier promises not to develop a nuclear weapon and made pledges to avoid specific nuclear “firebreaks”.

In 1986, Arms Control and Disarmament Agency director Kenneth Adelman also warned the White House that Pakistan was secretly enhancing its nuclear capability, but “top levels of the US government let relations with a friendly government supersede non-proliferation goals as long as there was no public controversy”.

One document claims that the Reagan administration did not even want the Pakistanis to share their secrets with them because they “feared that … the ‘truth’ would have made it impossible for them to certify to Congress that Pakistan was not developing nuclear weapons”.

And on that certification “rode the continued flow of aid to assist the Afghanistan resistance,” the document adds.

The records suggest that “lack of trust and confidence was an important element in the US-Pakistan relationship, as it is today”.

By the early summer of 1981, State Department intelligence estimated that the Pakistanis were “probably capable of producing a workable device at this time,” although the Kahuta enrichment plant was unlikely to produce enough fissile material for a test until 1983.

But in December 1982, Secretary of State George Shultz warned President Reagan of the “overwhelming evidence that Gen Zia has been breaking his assurances” of not making a nuclear weapon.

In the spring of 1987, senior State Department officials wrote that Pakistani nuclear development activities were proceeding apace and that General Zia was approaching a “threshold which he cannot cross without blatantly violating his pledge not to embarrass the President”.

Chutzpan! Jerusalem Sheh-LEE!

We all thought we were seeing the nuclear, bomb-type of Gog v' Magog...as recently as a few weeks ago.

Now, with the flick of the wrist if you will, is Gog v' Magog a political attempt of conquest? Whatever is going on...man, was it swift! From Obama getting put  elected into office, then onto a skirmish in Western Israel Gaza, now we have what looks like the real deal. All roads lead to Jerusalem, and now more than ever it seems.

ChicagoTribune:

Britain is considering recalling its ambassador to Israel to protest at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision to expand settlement building, a diplomatic source said on Monday.

Israel's Haaretz newspaper reported that France was also considering withdrawing its envoy.

Both embassies declined to comment on the reports, but the British issued a statement saying they had made clear they would not support strong Israeli retaliation to a U.N. vote last week that gave the Palestinians de facto recognition of statehood.

"The recent Israeli government decision to build 3,000 new housing units threatens the two-state solution and makes progress through negotiations harder to achieve," the British embassy in Tel Aviv said.

"We have called on the Israeli government to reconsider."

A diplomatic source, who declined to be named, said London would decide later in the day whether to recall its ambassador.

Such a move by both London and Paris would represent a severe diplomatic reproach to Netanyahu. Israel's Vice Prime Minister Moshe Yaalon told Israeli Army Radio he was not aware of any recall.

"I did not hear of this, either via the foreign ministry or the prime minister's office. Therefore I have a hard time believing it is true," he said.

Netanyahu has brushed off world condemnation of his latest settlement plans, which were announced on Friday just hours after the United Nations voted overwhelming to upgrade the Palestinians' diplomatic status.

"We will carry on building in Jerusalem and in all the places that are on the map of Israel's strategic interests," Netanyahu said on Sunday at a weekly cabinet meeting.

Besides authorizing 3,000 new homes in and around Jerusalem, the Israeli government also agreed to expedite planning work for thousands more homes on barren land near Jerusalem that critics say would kill off Palestinian hopes of creating a viable state.

In another blow to the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, Israel announced on Sunday it was withholding Palestinian tax revenues this month worth about $100 million.

Israel said it was taking the money to help cover a Palestinian debt of $200 million with the Israeli Electric Corporation.

The Debate For The Ages - Israel, Iran, and Dayton?

Debate #3

This Final Debate will cover serious ground: Israel, Iran, Libya - all sure to draw nice combat between the two.

Both Mitt and Bazza have equally alluded to NWO claims I feel: Mitt is sure to make his final push to address the Amero [America's version of the EU, to be followed by the Asio - all culminating in a new World Currency]
&
Bazza is set to re-write America into his "invest in education / Big Government policies" - i.e. destroy America [or what is left of it] and if there is anything left, theoretically build it into the model of the Democratic Liberal Galus Jew. It is Jews like this that support Bazza, and thus they feel that all of America is like this.

Boker Tov, it isn't. Reality of who and what America is is lost. Mitt is closer to reality in this way than Bazza, but Mitt is more dramatically destroying America with his Amero while openly waging a war against China; Torah-wise this is huge and foreseen, as China represents the sure end: a Galus that will never happen. For Mitt to take on China is "Forcing the End." Is it good to rouse the dragon? I guess we will find out; as Mitt has stated: China must follow the [NWO] rules.
The two are opposites, in that Mitt is good short term and Bazza is horrible short term, and vice versa [theoretically].

Nonetheless, here we are, end of 2012, beginning of 5773..and we have Zohars and Mayans and Iranians and Israelis - all glowing hot.

Somehow I feel this election really will be epic [and dangerous to endure] and a vehicle to usher in the Geulah. We are in for a reality check, and it will be interesting to live out these next 4-8 years under one of these false messiahs.
May the true Moshiach be ready and willing to come ASAP! We may need him in a pinch.

The most pressing issue is: why are they touring in Dayton, Ohio? Is Obama that bored? I'd rather be in Ramallah than Dayton, Ohio...spoken like a true Daytonian. For all of his accent contrivancies - lets see Bazza try and even say Dayton correctly! [day-nn]

President Barack Obama and Republican rival Mitt Romney prepared for Monday's third and final presidential debate, which will focus on foreign policy, especially the Middle East and terrorism. It is their last chance to directly confront each other before millions of TV viewers with polls showing the race deadlocked. The 90-minute debate in Boca Raton, Florida, comes just 15 days before the Nov. 6 election.

While the economy has been the dominant theme of the election, foreign policy has attracted renewed media attention in the aftermath of last month's attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Obama had ranked well with the public on his handling of international issues and in fighting terrorism, especially following the death of Osama bin Laden. But the administration's response to the Libya attack and questions over levels of security at the consulate have given Romney and his Republican allies an issue with which to raise doubts about Obama's foreign policy leadership. Romney's team has focused on Libya, following reports that Obama's administration could have known early on that militants, not protesters angry over a film produced in the U.S. that ridiculed Islam, launched the attack that killed the U.S. ambassador there. Within 24 hours of the attack, the CIA station chief in Libya told Washington about eyewitness reports that the attack was carried out by militants, officials told The Associated Press.

The report from the CIA station chief was written late Wednesday, Sept. 12, and reached intelligence agencies in Washington the next day, intelligence officials said. It is not clear how widely the information was circulated. U.S. intelligence officials have said the information was just one of many widely conflicting accounts, which became clearer by the following week. Obama has insisted that information about the Libya attack was shared with the American people as it came in.

Also breaking on the eve of the debate was news that Obama's administration is prepared to talk one-on-one with Iran to find a diplomatic settlement to the impasse over Tehran's reported pursuit of nuclear weapons. However, National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor said Obama has made clear that he will prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon and will do whatever's necessary to prevent that from happening. Vietor said Iran must come in line with its obligations, or else faced increased pressure.

Iran has been a recurring issue in the presidential election campaign and Vietor's statement was released shortly after The New York Times reported Saturday that the U.S. and Iran have agreed in principle for the first time to negotiations. The paper said Iran has insisted the talks wait until after the Nov. 6 election. Vietor, however, denied that any such agreement had been reached. Heading into the campaign's final weeks, the economy and other domestic issues remain the main focus of both candidates.

Romney is upping his criticism of Obama's plans for a second term, accusing the Democrat of failing to tell Americans what he would do with four more years. The Obama campaign is aggressively disputing the notion, claiming it's Romney who hasn't provided specific details to voters.

At campaign events, and in a new ad and fundraising appeal out Saturday, Romney is setting up the closing weeks as a choice between what he says is Obama's "small" campaign that's offering little new policy and his own ambitious plan to fundamentally change America's tax code and entitlement programs. The new Romney ad criticizes the president's policies on debt, health care, taxes, and energy, arguing that Obama is simply offering more of the same. The fundraising appeal hits Obama for raising taxes and increasing the debt by $5.5 trillion, repeating the lack-of-agenda criticism.

Obama's campaign disputes the notion that the president hasn't outlined a detailed second-term agenda, pointing to his calls for immigration reform, ending tax breaks for upper income earners, fully implementing his health care overhaul and ending the war in Afghanistan.

Obama, at the Democratic National Convention, called for creating 1 million manufacturing jobs over the next four years with a mix of corporate tax rate cuts and innovation and training programs. He has set a goal of cutting the growth of college tuition in half over the next 10 years. He also has called for Congress to pass proposals he made last year that include includes tax credits for companies that hire new workers and funding for local municipalities to hire more teachers, police officers and firefighters.

The president's aides are particularly irked by the questions about Obama's second-term agenda, because they say it's Romney who has failed to provide voters with details. They point to Romney's refusal to provide specifics about his tax plan or outline what he would replace the president's health care overhaul with if he makes good on his promise to repeal the federal law.

The Obama campaign has also stressed that it's hard to predict what Romney might do as president, since he has changed his positions on many issues.

The presidency is decided in state-by-state contests, not by a national popular vote. Forty-one of the 50 states are essentially already decided, and the candidates have taken the fight to the remaining nine, which include Ohio and Florida.

The president planned an extensive tour of battleground states following the debate, with events in Florida and Ohio on Tuesday, including a joint event with Vice President Joe Biden in Dayton, Ohio, before returning to the White House. Romney and running mate Paul Ryan planned to campaign Tuesday in Colorado.

On Wednesday, Obama was packing his schedule with around-the-clock campaigning in Davenport, Iowa; Denver; Los Angeles and Las Vegas, followed by events in Tampa, Florida; Richmond, Virginia; Chicago and Cleveland on Thursday.

New financial reports out this weekend show that Obama's campaign collected $181 million in September, compared with Romney's $170 million. Obama's fundraising tally is just short of the record $190 million the president pulled in four years ago last month.

NWO Romney vs. NOW Obama

The results are in: and they are saying Barry won. Why he won they say - because he made people feel sorry for him concerning his Commander - in - Chief duties. He pulled every sympathy card and offered ill-advised mussar to Mitt. I'd say Obama won on low-blows while Mitt was good that he didn't lose. Of course Barry fought back [i.e. on the 47 % issue] with the obvious comebacks that could have/should have happened during the first debate.

Interesting note: Mitt seems to be pushing the North American Amero concept, destruction of the dollar and causing a collapse with China, which will lead to an Asio [dollar - joined with the Euro] i.e. : NWO; end of America as we know it. Mitt alluded to all of this during the Debate.

Barry on the other hand is pushing a different format. He wants a high-tech America [allowing blue-collar workers to remain in China; Mitt wants to bring the jobs back and allow the Mexicans to work while Canada will provide energy, i.e. NWO] thus America will be evolved into a more savvy entity within 20 years based on improved education, community, and basic infrastructure upgrades. The down side: what about the imminent 20 years?! Hence, Barry foresees the NOW to be all but forgotten - America's goodbye.

It appears both are willing and able to implement Rahm Emmanuelism: 21st century musn't be built on 20th century platforms. Expect radical reform, either within Barry's 4 years or Mitt's 8 years.

Whatever it is: it is going to be ugly, and the way I see it, to explain the difference between Democrat and Republican today is this:
Democratic heads are basically Liberal Jews who hate Israel Zionism, much like Jews of Bavel from 2,000 years ago. And Republican heads are classic Zionist and represent Jews of Eretz Yisrael from 2,000 years ago.
The problem with Jewish Americanism is that Jews think "Americans" are according to Jewish ideology; Boker Tov: They aren't. And the world is being taken hostage by the lobby.

IBN Live:

US President Barack Obama on Wednesday scored a clear victory over Mitt Romney in the high-stake second presidential debate, putting up a combative performance as he slammed his Republican presidential rival on issues like outsourcing and Libya. As Obama faced-off Romney in a town hall style debate at Hofstra University here, he was under intense pressure to improve upon his lacklustre performance at the first debate in Denver on October 3 when Romney had edged past him with a more aggressive and spirited performance.

Obama did not repeat the mistakes he made in his first debate, aggressively hitting back at Romney on tax plans, outsourcing and his controversial remark that 47 per cent of Americans did not pay income taxes. According to a CNN/ORC nationwide poll conducted right after the debate, 46 per cent of voters declared Obama the winner while 39 per cent said Romney fared better.

A CBS News instant poll said Obama edged Romney for a win in the second presidential debate. About 37 per cent of voters polled said the president won, 30 per cent awarded the victory to Romney while 33 per cent said Obama and Romney were tied. During the debate, 55 per cent of voters said Obama gave direct answers, while 49 per cent said the same about Romney.

On who did a better job of handling the economy, 34 per cent said the president would better handle the economy, with 65 per cent saying Romney would. The CBS survey polled 525 voters who are undecided or who may still change their minds. An online poll by Google Consumer Surveys gave Obama a 48 per cent lead over Romney's 31 per cent. "I hope you saw exactly what's at stake in this election. This race is neck and neck. What happens in the next three weeks will determine which side wins," Obama told his supporters in an email soon after he left New York after participating in the debate.

While there was no immediate comment from Romney, his vice presidential running mate Paul Ryan claimed that the Republican presidential candidate showed to the American people the clear choice they have on November 6.

The [Real] Decision: Feeling The Heat of Tel Aviv

In all honesty: Poor Bibi :(     [when it comes down to his predicament; I'm not envious]

Defense minister says Israel reserves the right to decide on security issues; former minister Tzachi Hanegbi: Israel facing most fateful days in history, both the decision to attack, or not to, would be costly.

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Thursday evening that Israeli and US clocks are ticking at different times with regards to Iran. "Israel will make its own decisions about future security," Barak said during a toast for the New Year of the Independence Party in Tel Aviv Exhibition Grounds. He added that Israel should make no mistake about US preparations to deal with the Iranian challenge, saying: "the Iranian challenge is a mutual one, however, Israel and the US's clocks are ticking at different times."

Barak further emphasized that "Israel reserves the right to make sovereign decisions on Iran and the US respects that."

Earlier on Thursday Barak met with the US Army's vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff James Winnefeld, who is in Israel for a working visit. He has been holding meetings with his IDF and defense establishment counterparts on Israeli security and defense issues.

Meanwhile, former minister Tzachi Hanegbi said Thursday that Israel is facing 50 of the most fateful days in the history of the State of Israel, speculating about a potential Israeli military strike on Iran.

"Prime Minister [Binyamin Netanyahu] will have to make decisions, all of which will have costly repercussions," Hanegbi was quoted by Makor Rishon as saying. "When we say a [military] conflict has a price, we do so because we want to avoid making our children and grandchildren pay that price."

However, Hanegbi added, the alternative could also be costly. "Reconciling with a nuclear Iran has a cost, the practical implications of which would be a nuclear arms race in the entire Middle East."

Viva Las Bibi! Upping The Ante

Bibi is rolling the dice - in some way.

There seems to be two main issues with this Iran Threat:
A) Zionism has Messianism built - in to it; Bibi feels he is meritorious to be the deliverer
B) Bibi is playing some game of pseudo-poker

Something is going on with Bibi, even if you say the War is bogus - as there is just way too much gambling, speculating, propaganda, etc.

Zionism is a modern day Jewish religion, and every religion has an ultimate goal. Let us not forget that Bibi learned the ropes from his father [and that Peres is no slouch either when it comes to Zionism - as he was there from the start.]
The real objective question is, 'what is Zionism doing?' as this type of saber rattling is unprecedented in Zionist history, thus difficult to pin down. Remember that in Zionism, actions are not the whims of Man, but for the sake of Zion[ism] - therefore esoteric Zionism is speaking loud and clear through the puppeteer name Netanyahu.
Whatever comes of it, we will at least learn more about what [was] at stake, for the good of Israel [in Klippah].
In the meantime, as Kedusha waits her turn - the Messianic Las Vegas turnstiles spin.

Haaretz.com:

This reason given for the timing of a possible attack on Iran is one big act of deception.

Defense Minister Ehud Barak says that if Israel were to act now against U.S. wishes, the U.S. Congress would still favor Israel over Iran. Michael Oren, Israel's ambassador to Washington who was appointed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, says the American people and Congress would support Israel right now if it were engaged in a war with Iran.

This is deception. During Israel's 1981 pinpoint attack on the Iraqi nuclear reactor and during the first Lebanon war in 1982 - both of which took place under a right-wing Israeli government, though the leadership benefited from the perception that its leadership was moderate because of its peace treaty with Egypt - all Israel needed was for the right-wing American administrations not to oppose its actions too strongly. The difference is that unlike now, this country did not have an existential need for America to continue the mission that Israel began.

Whether deliberately or not, Netanyahu's settlement government is misleading people and making them think that Washington's decision to refrain from intervening, to Israel's detriment, in the 1980s, or against the settlements today, is somehow similar to dragging the United States and other Western countries into taking proactive steps for the sake of an otherwise isolated Israel. Just because Syrian President Bashar Assad is, for the meantime, preventing the West from mobilizing armies against him doesn't mean the West will go in to help him. Netanyahu's Israel is not as much of a pariah as Assad's Syria, but its dependence on America's taking up the Iran mission itself is so great as to be almost necessary for its survival.

This is a failure that undermines the foundations of Israeli security. Precisely when Israel most needs a close alliance with the U.S. government, Netanyahu is doing his utmost to undercut it.

The root of the problem is twofold: policy that is seen in the West as extremist, and an unprecedented attempt to interfere in domestic U.S. politics. If someone had told us about a country whose leader allows himself to be seen as explicitly attempting to oust the president of a world power, we wouldn't believe it. When the leader of that small country is the head of a quasi-protectorate that is sustained by that world power - financially, militarily and politically - that initial astonishment morphs into shock. The fact that this is taking place just as the small country is dependent on the help of the world power for a military project it cannot fully carry out alone makes this one of the most unrealistic scenarios in history.

Israel has an existential interest in waiting until the spring before deciding whether to attack Iran, as indicated by the opposition of leaders of the security establishment to an attack now. Israel would achieve no more than a delay of up to a year in the Iranian nuclear project, and that's why it depends on the United States to take the reins. By spring, international sanctions may have had an impact on Iran and, if not, the United States may act in any case. By the spring, Assad may have been ousted and the map of strategic threats dramatically changed for the better, from Israel's perspective.

Of particular relevance to those who aren't enthusiastic about U.S. President Barack Obama, the spring may bring his Republican rival Mitt Romney to power. And most important of all: By the spring, Israel will have been granted legitimacy for taking action, legitimacy that is crucial for the country's survival.

But Netanyahu's personal interests are diametrically opposed to those of the country he leads.

In the United States, his expressed interest in attacking Iran is seen as part of his effort to bring about Obama's defeat. Americans fear Netanyahu's effort to drag the United States into war against its will, as well as attempts to raise gas prices as a means of kicking Obama out of the White House in November because of the economy. Even the attempt to extort another public statement from Obama - he intends to pledge once again to stop Iran - is seen as an effort to publicly humiliate him, which makes it difficult to issue such pledges.

In private conversations, Netanyahu has said there is nothing after Election Day, which falls on November 6. If Obama wins, Netanyahu says, he will take revenge for the overt efforts to defeat him and will prevent Netanyahu from attacking Iran. For this reason, and only this reason, Netanyahu must go on the offensive over Iran now - some reliable sources say he will probably do it during the Democratic National Convention in North Carolina next week - when the timing is the worst for Israel. That's the price of getting portrayed as being a member of the Romney-Netanyahu-Sheldon Adelson threesome.

This is the most reckless of all breaches of trust, and Netanyahu - not Israel - must pay the price of taking the risk. Netanyahu must wait for the U.S. elections. If he loses his bet and Obama wins, Netanyahu should be so kind as to resign. The soldiers and citizens of Israel shall not be sacrificed on the altar of Netanyahu's bets.

Obama is a KNOWN poker player; how ironic would it be, if this whole scenario is an episode of ego, two leaders of the World, having it out in a game of Gladiator poker - leaving the two host countries as captive and holding ransom the World at large.
Narcissism knows no boundaries - and this may be a whole new level.
